Syllabus
Chapter 1 - Introduction & Basics
Lesson 1 – Introduction . This lesson gets you started with importing drawings & modelling the iconic Eames House using SketchUp.
Lesson 2 – Modelling Basics . This continues on the previous lesson by working up the exterior model & working through some of the basic modelling tools in SketchUp.
Chapter 2 - Developing the Building & Context
Lesson 3 – Adding detail to your model . By the end of this lesson, you’ll have a complete, detailed model of the exterior of the building. More tools are explored to help speed up your workflow also.
Lesson 4 – Modelling the interior . Here we dive deep into best practices for modelling interiors using a range of our recommended plugins to improve your modelling efficiency.
Lesson 5 – Adding Objects . To finalise your modelling process, you need to insert a range of assets & objects to make the whole thing feel more realistic & believable. This lesson explores our recommended approach.
Lesson 6 – Modelling the site & context. To conclude the modelling element we demonstrate how to model the site’s landform & position it in relation to world co-ordinates for accurate data on things like sun light & elevation.
Chapter 3 - Rendering & Post-Production
Lesson 7 – Materials . Diving into Vray, we explain how to utilise Vray materials within the plugin for SketchUp.
Lesson 8 – Lighting . Next up is how to use lighting within Vray & use SketchUp’s sun position in conjunction to light your whole scene in a range of ways.
Lesson 9 – Rendering . Before rendering your image you need to understand Vray’s render settings & it’s capabilities, which are all covered in this lesson.
Lesson 10 – Post Production. To round off the course we go into two forms of post-production using both Adobe Photoshop & Lightroom. These methods will maximise the quality of your final render for issue.
